Who we are

PetTracks is an application for managing pets and related supplies, offered as a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) by PetTracks. This privacy policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect

We collect and process the following personal data:

- Account information: your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. - Pet information: names, breeds, genders, birth dates, weights, health records, and other pet-related data you choose to enter. - Usage data: logs of product consumption, purchases, tasks, and breeding events. - Payment data: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. We do not store full card or payment details — these are handled exclusively by Stripe. - Technical data: session tokens and authentication state required for the service to function.

Why we process your data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

- To provide, operate, and maintain the PetTracks service. - To send account-related transactional emails (e.g. email address verification, invitation emails). - To process and manage your subscription through Stripe. - To comply with applicable legal obligations.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How long we keep your data

Your data is retained for as long as your account remains active. When you delete your account, all associated workspace data — including pets, health records, inventory, and usage logs — is permanently and irreversibly removed from our systems.

If you are a workspace member (not the owner), only your user record is deleted upon account deletion; workspace data created by you remains in the workspace.

Your rights under the GDPR

If you are located in the European Economic Area, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

- Right of access: you may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. - Right to rectification: you may correct inaccurate or incomplete data. - Right to erasure: you may request the deletion of your personal data. - Right to data portability: you may request your data in a structured, machine-readable format. - Right to object: you may object to the processing of your data in certain circumstances.

Cookies and tracking

PetTracks uses only essential session cookies that are strictly necessary for authentication and security. We do not use advertising trackers, third-party analytics scripts, or tracking pixels.

Third-party service providers

We share limited data with the following trusted sub-processors:

- Stripe (stripe.com) - subscription and payment processing. - Resend (resend.com) - transactional email delivery. - Supabase / PostgreSQL - secure data storage. - Vercel - application hosting and deployment.

Each provider processes data only as instructed and under their own GDPR-compliant privacy policies.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
